Labor Rules

Labor rules are important constraints that must be factored in during the scheduling process for an organization to remain in compliance. Each province and state must adhere to a different set of labor rules, such as how long an employee can work a shift before a break or how long they can be on duty. For example, airplane crews might time out after a maximum of 16 hours while a retail associate may be eligible for a 15-minute break after working four hours.
